Quaker Oats In Tamarind Rasam Style
Quaker Breakfast
½ cup Quaker Oats
¼ tsp mustard seeds
a pinch of asafoetida powder, 5-6 curry leaves
2 tsp ready-made tamarind pulp
1 finely chopped tomato
2 flakes finely minced garlic
¼ tsp roasted jeera powder
¼ tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
salt and pepper to taste
Dry roast mustard seeds, asafoetida powder and 5-6 curry leaves in a pan.
Boil 2 cups water, add tamarind pulp, tomato, garlic, jeera powder,
coriander powder, coriander leaves, salt and pepper.
Simmer for 2 minutes.
Add Quaker Oats and cook for 3 mins.
Garnish with chopped green chili and serve hot.
