Quaker Oats Paalak Paneer Ki Subz

½ cup (50g) Quaker Oats
5 cups chopped spinach (paalak)
1 brown cardamom (moti elaichi)
1-2 cloves (laung), 3-4 peppercorns (saboot kali mirch)
2 onions - chopped
½” piece ginger - chopped
1 tsp garlic paste, 2 green chillies - chopped
1 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi)
½ tsp garam masala
salt to taste
2 tomatoes - pureed in a mixer
200g low fat paneer - cut into 1” cubes
Pressure cook spinach leaves with 1½ cups water to 3-4 whistles.
Grind to a puree once cool.
Heat a pan. Add brown cardamom, cloves and pepper corns. Wait for 1-2 mins till
fragrant.
Add onions and stir on low heat till light brown.
Add ginger, garlic & green chillies. Mix well.
Add tomatoes. Add dry fenugreek leaves, garam masala & salt.
Cook for 4-5 minutes, till well blended and dry.
Add spinach and Quaker Oats. Cook uncovered for 7-8 mins on low flame.
Mix paneer pieces in the cooked spinach. Boil and simmer for 2-3 mins.
Transfer to a serving dish
